Welcome to our website
Bestwood Male Voice Choir was founded
in 1952 by the manager of Bestwood Colliery,
Len Hogg. He was to become the choir's main
driving force throughout the years to come,
until his death in early 2005.
Today, the choir continues to draw inspiration
from Len's passion for music and choral singing.
Since it's early days, the choir's life
has been filled with momentous occasions
and achievements. This includes appearances
at the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen
and at the Royal Albert Hall. The choir has
also been fortunate to share the stage with
some of Britain's finest choirs, regimental
bands, brass bands and soloists.
Contact with choirs abroad has resulted
in visits to Germany, The Netherlands, Canada,
USA, Poland, Malta and France.
The choir's concerts have continued to
raise thousands of pounds for various local
charities, with a specially selected charity
being designated each year as the main recipients
of donations from the choir.
If you would like the choir to sing in
support of your fundraising activities, please
